Three months after he was suspended for allegedly complaining against Delhi lawmaker Kapil Mishra for his 'incendiary' Twitter video, senior bureaucrat Ashish Joshi claims that he has yet not received an ‘official explanation’ for the action taken against him. Joshi, who was suspended on February 26, has now written to Union Minister Manoj Sinha for redressal of the issue. The 1992-batch Indian Post and Telecommunication Accounts and Finance Service officer, Joshi was working as the Controller of Communications Account in Dehradun.
“My salary (subsistence allowance) has been reduced to 50 pc. My wife and daughter are in Delhi because of my daughter's education. I have been away from my family for three years. I request that I be transferred to the headquarters, i.e., New Delhi (sic)," Joshi wrote to Sinha.
He also took to Twitter to express his anguish. “Hon'ble Minister @manojsinhabjp Respected Sir, I had sent an email (attached) seeking an appointment. However, I have received a reply that I should file my grievance on PG portal. I am pained & distressed to receive such a reply. I request you to do Justice. Profound regards (sic),†Joshi posted on micro-blogging site.

“On May 6, I wrote to Manoj Sinha, Minister of Communication seeking appointment and for justice. But instead, I was asked by Department of Telecom to file his grievance on PG Portal,†Joshi told News Nation.
After the video, the bureaucrat had filed a complaint with Delhi Police commissioner Amulya Patnaik demanding action against Mishra for circulating a “highly incendiary video†provoking people to attack those who are “against the nationâ€. Later, Mishra had accused Joshi of misusing his official position by filing the complaint on the ministry letterhead.
In the 2.18-minute clip, Mishra had said "we will wage a war against traitors" for their anti-national comments. He also sang that they "should be dragged out of their homes onto the streets".
