The condition of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa is now stable and she is taking a normal diet, according to Apollo Hospital, where the 68-year-old AIADMK leader was admitted on Thursday night after she complained of fever.
In an official health bulletin released on Saturday, the Chennai-based Apollo Hospital's Chief Operating Officer Subbiah Viswanathan said that Tamil Nadu CM is under observation.
Meanwhile, AIADMK spokesperson CR Saraswathi on Saturday confirmed that Jayalalithaa is healthy and will not travel to Singapore for further treatement. "She is very healthy, no problem at all. This (reports that TN CM will travel Singapore for treatment) is just a rumour," Saraswathi said.
A few media reports on Friday had suggested that Tamil Nadu CM will travel to Sinagpore for treatment of high sugar and kidney problems.
PM Modi, TN Guv Vidyasagar Rao wish Jaya a speedy recovery
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday wished Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. PM Modi said in a letter, “Dear Dr J Jayalalithaa ji, I wish you a speedy recovery,” and sent a bouquet of flowers wishing her a speedy recovery.
Thanking Modi, Jayalalithaa said in a letter, “I thank you for the concern and good wishes you have expressed in the letter.”

“Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao, who also sent a bouquet of flowers said, “It is worrying to learn that you are indisposed and hospitalised due to fever.”
He said, “My best wishes. People’s prayers and God’s blessings are always with you. I wish you a speedy recovery and pray to God to bring you back in good health enabling you to continue your distinguished service to the people.”
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Puducherry Chief Minister V Narayanasamy also wished speedy recovery to Jayalalithaa.
