AIADMK sidelined leader TTV Dhinakaran and 10 of his supporters have been booked in connection with distribution of pamphlets allegedly containing defamatory remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami in Chennai on Tuesday.
Tamil Nadu police booked for sedition and accused of inciting public after one Vinaykaran lodged a complaint with the police stating the the accused were allegedly found distributing pamphlets containing defamatory remarks outside a hall where Palaniswami was holding a meeting with senior officials.
The FIR has been lodged by Vinaykaran in Salem Police Station.

Police said, “We have seized the posters. They contained derogatory remarks against the prime minister and the chief minister.”
According to Tamil Nadu police, Dhinakaran and his loyalist P Vetrivel have been named in the complaint.
Police also added that the pamphlets seized highlights failures of the Edapaddi Palaniswami-led state government.
