Two persons have been arrested in Chennai for spreading rumours on social media about Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s health. Around 40 cases have been registered against those who are "spreading rumours" about the Jayalalithaa’s health. The police have accused such people of intending to cause riots.
Jayalalithaa has been in hospital for nearly three weeks and rumours have been doing rounds on social media about her health. Now, in a bid to put an end to all the rumours, her party, AIADMK, has launched a social media campaign which says "all is well" with "Amma".
Jayalalithaa was admitted to a hospital on September 21. He stay in the hospital was prolonged and VIP leaders including Rahul Gandhi were unable to meet her during their visits to the hospital.
