Union Minister of State Home Kiren Rijiju on Saturday said that the Centre will come up with a tangible solution to several decade long Naga problem and peace talks are on positive path with militant groups active in the Northeast.
Rijiju asserted that the tangible solution will not have any kind of adverse impact on the Northeastern states.
"The BJP-led NDA government has inked a framework agreement with NSCN-IM in 2015," Rijuji added.
"There will not be any ramification on boundary of states. The talks are on political solution," Rijuji added.
In the recent past there were apprehension by people of Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam that geographical boundaries will be redrawn due to the new agreement.
He further informed the media that the Centre is in talks with militant groups, including the ULFA- Progressive.
“We are reviewing the peace talks on case to case basis. The talks are on final stages,†Rijuji said.
The Union Minister of State Home further said that the Centre has agreed to certain genuine demands of the Arbind Rajkhowa-led ULFA-Progressive.
“The ULFA has been given the principle and instructions of the final settlement,†Rijuji added.
