Exiled Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen who has been living in exile since 1994 raised the issue of her residence permit in India on Wednesday. Nasreen's Residence Permit has expired and she took to Twitter to request Home Minister Rajnath Singh to extend her stay in India.
Taslima Nasreen owing to her feminist views and severe criticism of Islam Taslima rose to global attention by the end of 20th century.
Since leaving Bangladesh, she has lived in many countries. Taslima is an advocate of freedom of thought and human rights. Nasreen has written a variety of books like Lajja, All about Women, The Game in Reverse and Shame: A Novel.
