Yadav had tied the knot with RJD leader Chandrika Rai's daughter Aishwarya Rai with much grandeur and celebration in Patna in May. Lalu Prasad Yadav, who has been serving sentences in fodder scam cases, was granted a three-day parole to take part in the grand wedding ceremony in their hometown.
According to sources, Tej Pratap on Friday moved a divorce petition, which has been forwarded by the filing section for necessary action. The separation has been sought, invoking Section 13 A of the Hindu Marriage Act under which either husband or wife can unilaterally seek a divorce.

Earlier, Tej Pratap’s lawyer Yashwant Kumar Sharma, who filed the petition on behalf of Tej Pratap at a civil court in Patna, cited ‘incompatibility’ as the reason for the divorce. The court will hear the petition on November 29, 2018.
