In an eye-opening report, it is revealed that the Pakistan port city of Karachi has become the centre of anti-India jihadist groups and criminals who have the backing of the Pakistani army.

A report released by the Brussels-based think tank, International Crisis Group (ICG) stated that several terrorist groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba, its parent organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa, Maulana Masood Azhar led Jaish-e-Mohammad and anti-Shia group Lashkar-e-Jhangvi have been receiving patronage from the port city and “well-off  madrassas.”

The report also says that Pakistan-based these terror outfits actively operate their activities from Karachi's turf and involve all resources. Even, the Pakistan’s law enforcement authority turned a blind eye to their illegal operations.

As per ICG's report titled "Pakistan: Stoking the fire in Karachi", highlights that how the city has turned heaven for jihadist and other political and sectarian factions to channelize their agenda from the nation’s affluent city.

The reports corroborate that during a crackdown on these terror outfits, Pakistan Rangers came forward and excluded several places in Karachi and its outskirts of the city.  They dubbed it as "good" jihadists like LeT-JuD and Jaish-e-Mohammed.
