Terrorists on Monday attacked the residence of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) minister Abdul Rehman Veeri in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, reports said.
According to reports, the terrorists opened fire on guards who were posted at the residence of the Minister for Public Works and Parliamentary Affairs in Bijbehara.
No one was hurt in the attack. Police have cordoned off the area and an investigation has been launched. According to the police, the attack looked like an attempt to snatch arms of security guards.
On October 22, a PDP minister’s cavalcade was attacked with stones in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
