A Border Security Force (BSF) constable was shot dead in Bandipora's Hajin on late Wednesday evening by suspected terrorists who charged into his home and fatally shot him.
The constable had gone to his home in Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district on a vacation.
The jawan, who has been identified as Rameez Ahmad Parray, died on the spot while three of his family members were injured in firing by terrorists.

The condition of the jawan’s aunt was stated to be serious, while that of the three others was stable.
The Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, S P Vaid, termed the incident as “barbaric and inhumane†and said the guilty would be punished.
Meanwhile, BSF issued a statement: Constable Rameez Parrey, a serving personnel of 73 Bn BSF, who was on leave has been cowardly killed by terrorists.
1987 born Constable Rameez Ahmad Parray spent 6 years in service. The entire area has been cordoned off and a massive search operation has been launched.
