The Aam Aadmi Party exposed flagrant corruption under PM Modi's nose, today. The BJP-ruled MCD had sanctioned a bridge with a budget of Rs 55 crore in 2006, but despite spending 87 crores the bridge hasn't been completed even in 2022. AAP MLA and MCD In-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak said, "The railway underbridge was to be built by 2010 in the Sadar Bazar area of Kishanganj, Delhi, but it started construction only in 2022. Corruption is taking place under the nose of PM Modi, so far 87 crores have been spent on a bridge budgeted for 55 crores. The bridge should be built as soon as possible and the corrupt officers should be arrested as soon as possible." Senior AAP Leader, MLA from Rajinder Nagar and MCD in-charge Shri Durgesh Pathak, while addressing an important press conference at the party headquarters on Sunday, said, "Today I am going to expose such corruption of the BJP ruled MCD which underlines BJP's entire tenure under PM Modi. The corruption under our beloved PM Modi seems to only grow over and over. PM Modi's BJP-ruled MCD is betraying the people of Delhi. Whatever work MCD announces Delhi, ends up becoming a victim of corruption." He said, "Back in 2006, when there was talk of holding the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, many development projects were sanctioned in Delhi.

At the same time, a railway underbridge was to be built in the area of Sadar Bazar of Kishanganj located in the Wazirpur assembly. The bridge was completed in 2006 and was to be inaugurated in 2010. A 4 box bridge was to be built, but today in 2022, work is going on only on the first box. The other interesting thing is that the cost of the bridge was fixed at Rs 55 crore, but so far Rs 87 crore has been spent on it. At that time, many leaders inaugurated it at different occasions and distributed laddus all over multiple times. It was also inaugurated by former Mayor Jai Prakash ji & the MP from Chandni Chowk." He concluded, "This matter needs to be investigated. Obviously, when the MCD had budgeted the cost of the bridge at 55 crores, they would have also kept Rs 2-4 lakh in it to feed the politicians. That means, the work would have actually been 40-45 crores in which an additional Rs 10-15 crore would be added. So far Rs 87 crore has been spent on it. It is said that BJP people have been charging a lot of money ever since PM Modi came. It is my humble request that this bridge should be completed as soon as possible. Also, those who have gobbled money in the project should be arrested as soon as possible."
