There is no danger of war with India, open for talks on Kashmir; says Pakistani PM Abbasi

Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi during an interview to Geo News channel said. “I don’t think there is a danger of war. At least from our side.”

Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that there is no danger of war with India and suggested that both the countries should ensure there is no escalation of situation along the international borders.

Abbasi during an interview to Geo News channel said. “I don’t think there is a danger of war. At least from our side.”

In an interview that was aired on Tuesday, the Pakistani PM asserted that “Pakistan has never taken unilateral action. We have always behaved responsibily.”

Abbasi on Indian Bipin Rawat’s comment said, “Indian Army chief will not speak in our favour.  We have demonstrated our capabilities at times.”

Abbasi, who was chosen as the premier by the ruling PML-N after the Supreme Court ousted Nawaz Sharif for dishonesty last year, also ruled out the possibility of action against Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed, saying there were no cases against him in Pakistan.

The Pakistani prime minister also added that his doors are always open for meaningful dialogue with India. "Doors are open for talks but in a dignified manner to solve core issue of Kashmir,” he said.
