Indian shuttler PV Sindhu astonished the entire world by beating world number six player Okuhara Nozomi from Japan at Rio on Thursday, assuring a silver medal to India.

Sindhu made a vivacious victory by defeating her competitor with 21-19, 21-10 in straight sets and entered finals to face Spain’s Marin.

As she won, wishes started poring in and undoubtedly it was a moment of immense pride for India. What remains the best part about this victory is it became the second success at Rio for India just hours after Sakshi nailed the country's first medal following 11 blank days in this Brazilian city.

With this, Sindhu became the first ever Indian to enter summit clash of the shuttle game in the quadrennial sports spectacle.
