National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah and former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday wished speedy recovery to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who is at AIIMS, in New Delhi for a kidney transplant.
In their message to the Union Minister, they expressed their good wishes for her early recovery, with the senior Abdullah who has himself underwent a similar surgery, saying, "I will pray that she gets well soon."
According to sources, a team of four doctors is supervising her condition and is at her treatment. The name of doctors are Dr Sandip Mahajan (HOD nephrology); Dr Nikhil Tondon(HOD endocrinologist); Dr R Guleria(HOD Pulmonary); and Dr Balram Aron (Cheif CT center)are treating her.
Swaraj's transplant test is going on and it will take couple of week atleast because they are also trying to find out donors.
64-year-old Swaraj, who has been in and out of the hospital for last few months, said she was undergoing treatment for kidney failure. "Friends: This is to update you on my health. I am in AIIMS because of kidney failure. Presently, I am on dialysis.I am undergoing tests for a Kidney transplant. Lord Krishna will bless," she tweeted.
She was admitted to AIIMS on November 7 and is being monitored by a team of doctors. The External Affairs Minister was admitted to AIIMS in April also when she underwent treatment for pneumonia andother health issues.
