2)  Video | 5 coaches of Kurla-Ambernath local derail in Mumbai; train services affected

Five coaches of Mumbai local train running between Kurla-Ambernath derailed on Thursday morning. There are no reports of any passengers been injured in the train accident.

Local train derailed on Thursday morning between Kalyan and Vitthalwadi stations in Thane district, officials said. The mishap took place at 5:53AM. 

3) Two jawans injured in an encounter with militants in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir

An encounter broke out on Thursday out between security forces and terrorists at Shahgund Hajin in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Two soldiers -- Naik Madan Singh and Sepoy H Krishna got injured in the firing by militants, who managed to escape from the spot. Injured jawans were evacuated to Army's 92 Base Hospital here for treatment.

4) UP polls: Fresh Akhilesh-Shivpal tussle after Samajwadi Party releases list of party candidates

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday reacted on the Samajwadi Party’s candidate list. Akhilesh has sacked Vice Chairman of Awas Vikas Parisad Surabhi Shukla.

Surabhi’s husband Sandip Shukla is believed to be close of Shivpal Yadav. Sandip has also been given the ticket from Sultanpur.  Stung by the decision to drop his close aides from the list of candidates CM Akhilesh has called a meeting of his supporters today at 11 AM.
