Twitterati pay tributes to Indian-American astronaut Kalpana Chawla on her 55th birth anniversary

Renowned Indian-American astronaut Kalpana Chawla was remembered by all walks of life on her 55^th birth anniversary on Friday. India-origin Chawla was the first astronaut who went to space in 1997.

Chawla was killed when her space shuttle Columbia met fatal accident upon entering the earth’s atmosphere. Six other astronauts were also killed in the mishap in 2003.
