Uttar Pradesh RLD leader Masood Ahmad on Friday said that the party will contest all 403 assembly seats in alliance with JD-U and some smaller parties.
On Thursday, Samajwadi Party National Vice President Kironmoy Nanda had made it clear that the party will not ally with the RLD and that it will enter into alliance only with the Congress.
“No alliance with RLD. Samajwadi Party will ally only with Congress. Seats will be announced soon. There were no talks with RLD,” Nanda said.
However, the Samajwadi Party on Friday said that there was no positive response from Congress on alliance.
RLD leader Trilok Tyagi had said on Thursday that no talks on alliance were held between SP and RLD.
“Samajwadi Party leaders talked to us in the past but there were no talks on alliance after that,” he said.
