Emphasising on its commitment towards women security, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday asked women in the state to voice their opinions against injustice and atrocities.
"The state government is committed towards the security and welfare of women and all necessary steps have been taken in this regard, women should not tolerate injustice and atrocities and raise their voice against it," Adityanath said while addressing an award function in Lucknow.
The chief minister also said that helpline number 181 had been launched to expand security services to women and 1090 service is already functioning.

While referring to schemes being taken up for the welfare of women, the UP chief minister said a woman battalion was being raised in the PAC besides 'Shabari Sankalp Yojna' for keeping malnutrition in check and 'Ahilyabai Yojna' for free education up to college level in the state.
The chief minister said that a positive change could be brought in the society by treating both boys and girls equally.
A total of 129 women and girls were honoured with the Rani Laxmibai Veerta award at the function on Thursday.
