Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's twitter handle @Yogi_Adityanath has been suspended and he is available with a new handle @myogiadityanath on Twitter.
The new Twitter handle will be Adityanath’s personal account.
Yogi's new Twitter account confused his followers as he already had a verified account - @yogi_adityanath.
BJP’s official Twitter handle also clarified about the change in CM’s personal Twitter account. Adityanth’s old handle had around 2.39 lakh followers. The account was verified soon after Adityanath took oath on March 19.Â

According to political experts, the decision to change Twitter handle may be a first step to change his image as strident Hindu nationalist leader. Many Twitter users have said that few controversial tweets were posted on Yogi Adityanath's old twitter handle page.
Twitter gives a message that the account has been suspended when someone tries to open Yogi's old Twitter handle.
