Shyam Deo Roy Chaudhary, the sitting BJP MLA from Varanasi South, on Saturday made it clear that there was no discontent among the party cadre after he was denied ticket for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Speaking exclusively to News Nation during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roadshow in Varanasi, he said that he supports BJP.
On asking if he is campaigning for the first time in UP assembly polls, he said he has been supporting the BJP and the candidate from this constituency.
Chaudhury, a seven-time MLA since 1989 was replaced by a new face Neelkanth Tiwari this rime. Soon after the announcement of Tiwari's candidature, Chaudhary aka dada expressed his resentment over the party's decision.
