UPSC IAS Prelims Results 2016 likely to be declared by September 26; check upsc.gov.in

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) IAS Prelims Results 2016 will be announced likely by last week of September. UPSC IAS Results will be updated on its official site at upsc.gov.in.

UPSC Civil Services Preliminary exam was conducted on August 7, 2016 for which over 11.36 lakh candidates had applied. Even though there is no exact confirmation on the UPSC IAS Prelims result declaration, it can be concluded that the results shall be declared on or before September 26, considering the past few years stats.

Last year UPSC had conducted the Civil Services Preliminary exam on August 23 and declared the results on October 12. In 2014, the result of UPSC IAS Prelims exam was announced within 51 days.

It can be concluded from these stats that results for this year could be declared in the last week of September. Civil Services or IAS exam is the most difficult exam and candidates are waiting for the results so that they can pace up their preparation for mains examination.

The preliminary exam would serve as a screening test to be followed by a main exam for the shortlisted candidates. This year, the Civil Services Main exam would be conducted on December 3, 2016. The Civil Services Examination 2016 has been conducted to fill a total of 1,079 administrative posts that includes posts in Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service among others.
