Putting all the speculations to the bed, the upset BJP leader Pankaja Munde on Thursday said that she will not quit the party. However, Munde added that if the BJP wants her to leave, they can make a decision.

While addressing a function in Beed district's Parli on the birth anniversary of late BJP leader and her father Gopinath Munde, the former minister said, "I am very much in the party. I am not going anywhere, but if the party wants to leave me, they can make a decision."

Pankaja Munde further stated that she was working till the last day of the campaign, despite Devendra Fadnavis being declared as the Chief Ministerial candidate. "I was seeing that each MLA is elected. When I was working for everyone else, will I rebel? For whom? I don't have any expectations from anyone. In my post too, I wrote, country first, the party next and then myself," she added.

Munde claimed that false stories are being planted against her and urged state unit chief Chandrakant Patil to find out who was behind them. "During my tenure, there were many things said about me, rather there were some people appointed for this. I lost the polls, and now they want me to leave the party? Some people are saying that Pankaja is putting pressure to get some posts. I don't have any expectations. The party is a process, it doesn't belong to anyone. People will go and come. If someone is saying that I am putting pressure, I will resign from the core committee too. Dada, please find out who is planting stories against me," she said.

The former minister also expressed her displeasure over the distribution of tickets. On the occasion, the BJP leader also announced that she will be starting Gopinath Munde Prathishthan from January 26, and she will tour parts of the state.

Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrakant Patil, Eknath Khadse, Haribhau Bagade, Prakash Mehta, Mahadev Jankar, and Pasha Patel were among the leaders who attended the function.
