Spinning a new twist in the Mathura violence, UP disposal squad found a US-made rocket launcher from the Jawahar Bagh area. The weapon was found during the search of 280 acres of government land, which was encroached by Swadheen Bharat Vidhik Satyagrahi outfit.
Mathura SSP Bablu Kumar said, "We have recovered equipment (from Jawahar Bagh) which says "Launcher, Made in USA". He further said that officials are verifying the details.
Last week, the members of the obscure cult had attacked the police personnel when it reached to evict the encroachers from the Jawahar Bagh park on a court order, during which Mathura witnessed massive violence. SP (City) Mukul Dwivedi and SHO (Farah) Santosh Yadav and 29 others died in the attack. On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav ordered a judicial probe into the Jawahar Bagh violence in Mathura.
