UP: Man rapes 18-month-old niece in Badaun

In yet another horrific incident, an 18-month-old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle at a village near Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.

Superintendent of Police Kamal Kishore said the incident took place on Sunday evening at a village in the Binawar area in Badaun.

The villagers alerted by the girl’s cry reached the spot and caught the accused before he could flee, Kishore said.

The police have arrested the accused uncle and said that the child was admitted to a hospital. Her condition was stated to be serious.
