BSP turncoat Swamy Prasad Maurya made through the third list of BJP for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. BJP on Tuesday released the list of 67 candidates on Tuesday.
Other turncoats’ from BSP such as R K Chaudhary, Dara Singh Chauhan will also contest on BJP symbol from Mohanlalganj and Madhuban seats respectively.
Maurya will be BJP’s candidate from Padrona seat.
All three are influential faces of their respective castes, which plays a major role in deciding the fortune of various candidates in Uttar Pradesh.
BJP has also nominated its former state party President Surya Pratap Shahi from Pathardeva.

With the third list out now, the party has revealed its 370 candidates with no Muslim nominee among them, who will go to contest in the assembly elections.
The election to the 403-member Assembly will take place in seven phases, starting February 11.
With now just 30 seats left, BJP is likely to initiate talks with its allies Apna Dal and Bhartiya Samaj Party, said BJP’s National General Secretary Arun Singh.
Most of these candidates whose names were announced on Tuesday are from the seats which will go to polls in sixth and seventh phase.
The seven-phase polls in the state will take place on February 11, 15, 19, 23, 27, March 4 and 8.
