A 16-year-old girl suffering from cancer was raped twice on Saturday night in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow. First she was gang raped by two youths for hours and second time by a passer-by from whom she seeked help, said police on Sunday.

According to police, the victim is suffering from blood cancer.

The victim told the police that on Saturday evening while she was returning from a local market, when a boy she identified as Shubam offered her lift. She alleged that he took the bike to a secluded place where he along with his friend raped her till late night.

The rape survivor further told the police that the duo fled the incident site.

Police said, “She on seeing a bike cried for help. The victim narrated her ordeal to the moto-biker identified as Virendra Yadav. The man instead of helping her, raped her and left her on the road side.”

The police officer added, some locals saw the girl crying in pain on Sunday early hours and alerted the police. A patrolling jeep took her to hospital first and later dropped her home after medical treatment.

“We have arrested the contractor. Raids are being conducted to nab the two absconding,” said a senior police officer from Lucknow.
