Union minister Venkaiah Naidu on Monday rubbished media reports that BJP is toeing with the idea of projecting him as NDA's vice -presidential candidate.
There are unconfirmed reports that Naidu could emerge as the face of NDA's vice-presidential pick against UPA's Gopal Krishna Gandhi who will file his nomination on Tuesday.
Naidu said he is not aspiring to become anything, and the party will decide about the candidature. He tried to put all speculations to rest, saying that whatever parliamentary board will decide, is going to be final.
The BJP parliamentary board would meet at 6 pm to decide the candidate of NDA.
Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao’s name is also doing the rounds for the second top constitutional post.
Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the Opposition candidate for the Vice-Presidential election had said that he will file nomination on 18th July.
"I will file nomination on July 18," Gandhi had said while speaking to ANI.
