When Bihar Guv Kovind asked Lalu's son Tej Pratap to repeat oath

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced Bihar Governor Ram Nath Kovind's name as party’s Presidential candidate after its parliamentary board meeting held in New Delhi. The Presidential poll will take place on July 17.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his confidence in Kovind, saying that he is sure Kovind will make an exceptional President and continue to be a strong voice for the poor, downtrodden and marginalised.

An interesting incident had happened during Nitish government’s swearing-in ceremony in 2015 when Bihar Governor and BJP’s presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind had asked Lalu’s son Tej Pratap Yadav to repeat his oath as he had read a word wrong.

Tej Pratap had read “Upekshit” instead of “Apekshit” which was later corrected by Kovind, and the latter also asked him to read the oath again.
