WATCH | BJP leader from Karnataka teaches party workers ‘how to lie,’ video goes viral

A video has emerged which shows former Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka KS Eshwarappa giving his party men tips on how to tell lies.

The video has since gone viral.

Eshwarappa was addressing party workers in an internal party meeting in Koppal area of the state.

Translation of Eshwarappa’s speech:

We have to speak about what the BJP government has done at the centre and what we will do when we come to power here for minorities, Dalits, women, and elderly. We should be in the know of it, in case we don't, remember we are politicians, we should never say we don't know, just lie! People should never wonder what kind of a politician are you with no knowledge of things. During Vajpayee's time, Pakistanis were beaten to death, were you present there? No, but you still talk about it and compare it with Dr Manmohan Singh's time when Indian soldiers were killed by Pakistanis and then now Narendra Modi's time there is no strongman like him. You can say this, can't you? This is also factual. The world has accepted that there is no heroic man like Narendra Modi, don't you agree? After you go home if you think Manmohan Singh did good work or Siddaramaiah is doing well, you can resign from the BJP and sit at home. Do not be a part of the BJP.

Eshwarappa was the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka in the BJP government headed by Jagadish Shettar from 2012 to 2013. He is currently serving as the Leader of Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council.
