At least eight coaches of 22454 Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express have reportedly derailed near Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.Â
There are no reports of casualties or grave injuries so far. According to reports, at least 15 people have been injured.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu has ordered an enquiry into the accident. Â
"Personally monitoring situation.Directed senior officers to rush to the spot.Ensure speedy relief and rescue operations. Enquiry ordered to look into the cause,strict action will be taken against any lapse," Prabhu tweeted.Â
Indian Railways confirmed on Twitter that the 8 coaches of 22454 Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express derailed at at 8:15 hrs between Mundapandey and Rampur on Moradabad and Bareilly section.Â
Official statement Issued by the Indian Railways:Â
"The 22454 Meerut City-Lucknow Jn. Rajya Rani Express derailed by Eight Coaches (5th to 12th from Engine) near Rampur on Moradabad-Shahjehanpur Section of Moradabad Division of Northern Railway at 8.15 hrs this morning.
"The Accident Relief Train and Medical Relief Trains (ART & ARME) rushed for the site immediately and have reached on the spot for relief work.
"Pramod Kumar, the Divisional Railway Manager and other Senior Officials have reached on the site to supervise the Relief work.
"The buses were arranged for the stranded passengers for their onward journey to their destined Stations.
"The upline is clear and the train operation on this line has already started, whereas the down line has been infringed and efforts are on to clear it.
"The Ex-Gratia payment of Rs. 50000/- Â as announced by Minister of Railways for the injured have been disbursed.Â

#9:30 AM: At least 10 people injured after 8 coaches of Meerut-Lucknow Rajya Rani Express derail near Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.
On March 30, eight coaches of Jabalpur- Nizamuddin Mahakaushal Express had derailed near Mahoba station in Uttar Pradesh. According to initial reports, around thirty-six passengers of the Delhi-bound train were injured in the incident which took place at 2:07 am, the Chief Public Relations Officer, North Central Railway said.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered a probe into the accident. Indian Railways said that prima facie investigation into the derailment Mahakaushal Express pointed to cracks in the tracks.
