As many as eleven bogies of Lokmanya Tilak Superfast Express got derailed at Unnao railway station in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. No casualty has been reported in the incident. The railway authorities have rushed to the spot.
As per media reports, the incident took place around 1 pm when the eight bogies got derailed near Unnao railway station. It is said that a few people jumped off from their coaches in fear. But, no casualty has been reported in the incident.
The cause of the derailment is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, a special train from Lucknow junction has been sent for passengers stranded at Unnao station and Indian Railways has released helpline no. 9794830975, 0522-2237677.
Many trains have been diverted to another route as the services of trains on Lucknow-Kanpur route are still disrupted.
