Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned officials and bankers on Saturday that indulging in corruption will invite strict action from the government. In a televised address on the New Year Eve, PM also announced a slew of schemes for traders, women, senior citizens and farmers.
This was Modi's second address to the nation since his announcement to scrap 1,000 and 500 rupees notes on November 8.
