UP Elections 2017: BSP chief Mayawati slams RSS reservation comment, terms Yadav family feud a staged drama

BSP supremo Mayawati on Saturday slammed Samajwadi party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly staging a drama of family feud to divert attention from scams and violence perpetrated under its regime. Mayawati also criticised RSS and BJP for trying to question reservation to minority communities.

Mayawati, in the past, has criticised Yadav family for continuous tussle while the state administration suffered. She has also been critical of PM Modi-led BJP in the past for doing allegedly partisan politics.

BSP has already declared its list of candidates, with the special focus on representation to Muslim and Dalit communities.

In the first list of candidates, BJP issued the names of 149 candidates, none of whom belong to the Muslim community.

Meanwhile, Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party has issued the names of 191 candidates, some of which are for the seats currently held by Congress.

SP’s move of seat grabbing can threaten the promised grand alliance between Congress and SP, a turn of event, if it happens, can help BSP in upcoming elections.
