Mahashay Dharampal Gulati, the owner of MDH spice company, broke down in tears while paying his last tributes to former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj, who died on Tuesday. In a video shared by news agency ANI, the 96-year-old MDH owner is seen sobbing near Sushma Swaraj’s mortal remains.
Hundreds of people, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP veteran LK Advani, gathered at Lodhi crematorium where Swaraj was cremated with full state honours. PM Modi, who termed Swaraj’s sudden demise a personal loss, also broke down while paying tributes to Swaraj at his home.

The 67-year-old BJP leader passed away on Tuesday night at Delhi’s AIIMS Hospital due to cardiac arrest. She was brought to AIIMS between 9:30 pm and 10:00 pm in a critical condition and was straight away taken to the emergency ward.
Swaraj had a kidney transplant in 2016 and had opted out of contesting Lok Sabha polls earlier this year for health reasons. She is survived by her husband Swaraj Kaushal and daughter Bansuri.
