Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed a public meeting in Panaji for the upcoming assembly elections in Goa scheduled on February 4.
The party organisation which has announced candidates on 36 seats, has decided to support independent candidates in four constituencies which are largely Catholic dominated.
The campaign in Goa is currently spearheaded by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar who is also Goa's former cheif minister.
Goa goes to polls on February 4.
