Ram Nath Kovind, the President of the Republic Of India, addressed the nation on the eve of 71st Republic Day on Saturday. In his address, the President said that justice, liberty, equality and fraternity were the central tenets of the Constitution of India. He urged people to follow these tenets by keeping in mind the values of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Republic Day marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950. India celebrates her Republic Day with great pomp and show and the celebrations are characterised by the Republic Day parade at India Gate, Rajpath in Delhi. The President address the nation on the eve of every Republic Day.
