What will be your first reaction if your flight crash lands and catches fire? Run for your life? Apparently for a few Indian passengers on board the unfortunate Emirates Flight EK521 their luggage was dearer then their lives.

A video has emerged on internet which shows passengers of the crashed Thiruvananthapuram-Dubai flight wasting time in pulling out their luggage before evacuating the flight, which had caught fire.

The raw video footage, taken by a passenger from inside the flight, shows passengers trying to locate and collect their bags before evacuating the flight which was covered by fire, with fire attendants outside trying to douse the flames.

The flight attendants are also heard in the video asking people to move towards the exit door so that the flight is completely evacuated.

However, a lot of passengers are seen scrambling to grab their bags first rather than escaping from the plane during an emergency situation. This led to a delay in the evacuation process during such a critical juncture.

On Wednesday, Emirates Flight 521 crashed landed at Dubai International Airport. The aircraft took off from Thiruvananthapuram and was carrying 282 passengers with 18 crew members. All on board survived the major accident and were evacuated from the plane safely.
