India on Thursday accused Pakistan of not combating cross-border terrorism effectively, soon after a meeting on terrorism of SAARC member countries held in New Delhi. India said the fact that Pakistan had sent only two officials to attend this meeting ptoves that Pakistan was not serious on tackling terrorism.
The accusation follows the Uri attack in which 18 soldiers of Indian army were martyred. The evidences collected so far point finger to Pakistan’s involvement. The MEA Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said ‘Chor ki daadhi mein tinka’, referring also to the recent Uri terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
India on Wednesday had summoned the Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and handed over evidences. These include items of food, clothing and medicines collected from the possessions of terrorists killed during the encounter which bore the marking of ‘Made in Pakistan’.
