Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that the Prime Minister Modi-led central government has fulfilled Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s dream of making Jammu and Kashmir an ‘inseparable’ part of India. "We have fulfilled Sardar Patel's dream by making Jammu and Kashmir an inseparable part of India," Shah said while attending the passing out parade of Indian Police Service (IPS) probationers at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad.
Paying tributes to Sardar Patel - first Home Minister of India, Shah said he achieved the challenging task of merging 630 states with the Indian Union.
“Want to pay tributes to Sardar Patel; he united 630 princely states, only Jammu & Kashmir was left. Under PM Modi's leadership, article-370 has been abrogated & J&K fully integrated with rest of India,” he added.
Stating that 33,000 policemen have so far laid down their lives for the nation, he told IPS probationers that they were going to become part of this great tradition of serving the nation.
