A 32-year-old West Bengal youth was arrested for allegedly threatening to kidnap former Indian Cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter Sara.
The accused has been identified as Devkumar Mitti, a resident of West Bengal. According to the reports, he called Sachin’s residence and passed lewd comments about his daughter Sara Tendulkar.
Mitti allegedly made around 20 calls to Tendulkar’s landline number and threatened to kidnap Sara and marry her forcefully.
Tendulkar’s assistant had approached Bandra police on Friday and a case was registered in the regard.

The police got the address of the accused through his telephone number and a team was sent to West Bengal’s Midnapore, the Indian Express reported Bandra Police as confirming the news.
The family of the accused came out in his defence and said he was mentally unwell.
However, police said he saw Sara on Television and arranged the landline number of Tendulkar.
