Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the spiritual leader who was in controversy recently over his Art of the Living event on the banks of Yamuna river, is in news again. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has said that he tried to open peace talks with the deadly Islamic State group but what he got from them in reply will shock you. The ISIS sent a picture of a beheaded man to the Art of Living founder.

“I tried to initiate peace talks with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) recently but they sent me a photograph of a beheaded body of a man. Thus, my effort for a peace dialogue with the ISIS ended,” he said.

“I think the ISIS does not want any peace talks,” he said while addressing media persons in Agartala. “Hence, they should be dealt with militarily.”

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was on a three-day visit to Tripura recently and left for Kolkata on Thursday. He held a series of meetings in the state and stressed that there was a need to bring peace to India’s northeastern region.

The 59-year-old spiritual guru urged the ISIS to hold peace talks with the government. But in reply he got a photo of a beheaded body.
