In a shocking case which reflects the sheer abuse of power, a BJP leader in Uttar Pradesh's Moradabad publicly threatened a police officer during an oath-taking ceremony of Block Development Officer Punam Devi.
In the video shared by news agency ANI, Amit Chouhan, son of Moradabad BJP leader Rajpal Singh Chouhan is purportedly seen threatening the cop to get him stripped of his rank.
“This is Bharatiya Janata Party’s government, if I find anything against you, I will get you stripped of your rank,” Amit shouted at the cop.
The frightened police officer said nothing but asked him to find something against.
“Alright sir, alright. You go find wrong against me,” said the cop even as the BJP leader’s son kept shouting.
According to the reports, the father-son duo was attending the oath-taking ceremony of Block Development Officer Punam Devi.
On seeing Inspector Sharad Malik attending the ceremony, Amit lost his cool and started threatening the officer.
