A woman in Etah complained some unidentified have uploaded an obscene video on internet using her name. The woman alleged that it was done to blackmail her, police told on Tuesday.
The woman complained that some unidentified persons made an obscene video using her name and threatened her through mobile phone that they will upload it on the Internet if she fails to give money to them, they said.
As she did not pay, the accused allegedly uploaded the video on the Internet, according to the complaint.
On the basis of the woman’s complaint, an FIR was registered on Monday in the Bagwala police station in Etah, police said, adding that the victim has provided two mobile numbers from which the accused had called.
An investigation is underway in the matter and police are trying to trace the mobile numbers, they added.
