World Environment Day 2018: India is 5th largest producer of Solar energy around world, says PM Modi

To mark the occasion of 43rd edition World Environment Day 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed an event observed by the United Nations on 5 June every year to spread awareness for the protection of our environment.

This year, the theme for the World Environment Day 2018 is 'Beat Plastic Pollution' and India is the global host.

Special representatives from the United Nations, environment ministers, including members from various industries, will attend the event to mark the occasion. Modi will also visit the World Environment Day exhibition set up at the Rajpath lawns.
