Indian's ace wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt took to Twitter on Tuesday to poke fun at Gurmehar Kaur for her “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him” remark.

Yogeshwar is the latest in long list of Indian celebrities who took to social media sites to ridicule Kaur's stand. Earlier, Sehwag and Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda had criticised the literature student's remarks, calling her a "political pawn".

After former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag was heavily criticised for mocking Ms Kaur, Yogeshwar made it clear which side he was on. Ms Kaur has been trolled over her online campaign against the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the BJP-linked student wing, after last week's violence at Ramjas College.

Gurmehar, daughter of Kargil War martyr Captain Mandeep Singh, created ripples on the internet when she posted a video in May last year where held a placard that read, “Pakistan did not kill my dad, war killed him.”

The controversy comes days after violence hit Ramjas College campus when students and teachers clashed with Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) members after the latter disrupted a session of the two-day seminar on Bastar over the participation of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students, Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid.

Gurmehar also changed her Facebook profile picture holding a placard which read "I am a student from Delhi University. I am not afraid of ABVP. I am not alone. Every student of India is with me. #StudentsAgainstABVP".
