Former Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha kept his stand firm on his opinion over the deteriorating economic condition by giving a telling response “I politely disagree” to the statement “India is backbone of world’s economy” made by Home Minister Rajnath Singh and  Railways and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal.

The former union cabinet had expressed his strong discontentment over present economic conditions by writing a column in the noted daily newspaper which was published on Tuesday edition.

Sinha talking to ANI said, “Maybe Rajnath Singh and Piyush Goyal know economy more than me, so they think India is backbone of world's economy. I politely disagree.”

He even suggested the BJP-government to pull up socks to improve the economic condition and to stop blaming previous governments.

“We cannot blame the previous governments for the deteriorating economic conditions as we have all the resources to perform,” said Sinha.

The former minister also reminded Singh and Goyal that he had been the one of the longest serving finance ministers.

He said, “If you leave out Congress finance ministers then I am the only person who presented 7 budget.”

Sinha reminded the government that the need of the day is jobs.

“Today people want jobs but you ask anyone they say there are no jobs,” said Sinha

Talking to the news agency he further added that everyone knows that the country’s economic condition is in downfall.

The former finance minister also said that government’s first task should had been to improve the conditions of banks but it is still awaited.
