The Uttar Pradesh government on Monday tabled the supplementary budget worth Rs 11,388.17 crore in the state Legislative Assembly.
State Finance Minister Rajesh Agarwal presented the supplementary budget in the House, seeking a provision of Rs 1,215 crore for constructing toilets under the Centre's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Rural) and Rs 759.48 crore for power.
The government also sought a provision of Rs 519 crore for construction of roads and bridges to the PWD, Rs 390 crore for distribution of free sweaters among the students of schools run by the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad and Rs 413.18 crore for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna (Rural).
Besides, there is a provision of Rs 10 crore for the construction of the Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan, Rs 40 crore for the expansion and beautification of roads between the Ganga river and the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi and Rs 75 lakh for strengthening the Baudh museum in Gorakhpur.

There is a provision of Rs 16 lakh for an all-India prizemoney kabaddi tournament at Gorakhpur in the memory of MahantAvaidyanath. This is the first supplementary budget of the YogiAdityanath government, which had presented its budget in July after coming to power in the state in March.
