UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the Congress’s move to elevate Rahul Gandhi as its president would simplify BJP’s task of making India "Congress-mukt".
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's remarks came a day after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) announced the poll schedule for the election of party president to be held next month. The Election Commission had directed the party to hold organizational elections before December 31st. The exercise is being seen as a formality to elevate vice-president Rahul Gandhi as party president.
"Congress represents dynasty. It is only natural that Soniaji will pass on the baton to her son, Rahul. Is the occasion worth a celebration for the Congress.”
Knowing the Congress culture, Rahul is unlikely to face a challenge on his way to the top post.
