Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramalu's daughter is set to tie the knot on March 5 at the Palace Grounds and much in the tune of Bellari mining giant Janardhan Reddy’s daughter’s wedding, the occasion will be organized in a grand scale. Reddy’s daughter wedding in 2016, reportedly cost a whooping Rs 550 crore and now Reddy’s close aide Sriramalu's daughter ceremonies too is expected to raise several eyebrows  with its extravaganza and oppulence.

While everything about Brahmani's wedding was over the top, including the wedding invites that were fitted with LCD screens to the wedding venue and her ornaments, Rakshita's function is expected to be an equally expensive affair.

The Sriramali family has already sent lakhs of invitations accompanied with boxes of cardamom and saffron, two of the most expensive spices based on a health theme. Reports suggest that the bride will wear outfits designed by sandalwood designer Saniya Sardhariya and her make-up will be done by Deepika Padukone’s make up artist and stylist who worked with her during her extravagant Italian wedding at Lake Como. Photography will be done by Jayaraman Pillai of the Wedding Journals of India fame.

The marriage ceremony will commence with a mehendi function on March 3 at the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru, which will be attended by Bollywood and Sandalwood stars and political leaders from across party lines.

Rooms in five star hotels across Bengaluru have also been booked for various party functionaries.

The multi-crore wedding of Brahmani was in the spotlight for its sheer opulence and extravagance at a time when numerous people were facing a cash crunch and had to queue up outside banks and ATMs to withdraw their hard-earned money in the wake of the demonetisation of the two large currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

The five-day extravaganza was held at the Palace grounds with ceremonies held against the backdrop of lavish settings. The mining baron’s event presented almost a surreal picture as Bramhani entered into wedlock with Rajeev Reddy, a leading businessman’s son from Andhra Pradesh, with rituals conducted by a battery of priests from the famous Tirumala temple.

The grandeur of the wedding was such that huge sets replicating Vijaya Vitthala temple of Hampi, the seat of the glorious erstwhile Vijayanagara empire, and Tirumala Tirupati temple were erected at the venue, along with the replica of the homes of both of bride and the groom.

A similar set is expected to be created for Rakshita's wedding as well.
