Priyanka Chopra is no stranger to the royal household. We all remember her grand entry at the wedding or Price Harry and Meghan Markle last May, in a lavender Vivienne Westwood skirt that made headlines. Hence, it doesn't much as a surprise that Priyanka Chopra will have a mention in the arrival of the first royal baby. While fans eagerly await the royal baby, the royal feud between the Meghan Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also cannot be ignored, given the fact that the royal-feud is reported to have also escalated for the worse especially after Harry and Meghan skipped Kate's birthday celebrations. To make matter worse, there are now also rumours that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may not consider William and Kate as godparents of their first child. Will this mean a staling of a relationship between the royal-four?
The decision to exclude Kate and William, however, may also be very unusual because according to traditions Royals very rarely go for direct brothers or sisters. Similarly, is the case with Kate and Prince William who chose distant relatives to be the godparents of their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
Given the fact that the Royals very rarely go for direct brothers or sisters as grandparents and the strong bond of Priyanka Chopra and Meghan Markle, there are rumours that our very own Desi girl might be the godmother to her first royal born. We all know that Priyanka and Meghan share a tight-knit bond, dating back to when they would star in Quantico and Suits. Priyanka even attended Meghan and Harry's royal wedding back in May 2018.
This choice of a not-royal-related godmother also came about as it was reported that Meghan and Harry might be considering someone else from the Royal family or an outsider to take up the role. This report has been strengthened even stronger by royal commentator, Andrea Boehlke, who said, "We've been talking about Jessica Mulroney, she has to have a shoe in. She's Meghan's best friend."
Boehlke added that since Meghan is very close to Serena Williams and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, she might also consider them for the role.
According to Hello! Priyanka and Meghan's friendship dates back to the former Suits star's pre-Harry days, having first met at ELLE's Women in Television dinner a few years ago and remained close ever since.
"Every once in a while there is a moment when time stands still. that happened today. You my friend were the epitome of grace, love and beauty," Priyanka wrote on Twitter for Meghan on her wedding.
